To turn a bearing into a sensor, we currently still need an electrical contact. 💡 On the stationary part, this is usually relatively easy to implement using our standard contact screw. The rotating part is more challenging. We mainly use abrasive brushes for this.
In order to offer our customers the best possible solution, we are also actively conducting research in this field in close cooperation with the Institute for Product Development and Machine Elements at the Technical University of Darmstadt.
A joint publication has now been published on the analysis of the electrical impedance of graphite and silver graphite carbon brushes. ⚙🔍

HCP Sense At The Bearing World
Wherever in the world movement is involved, rolling and plain bearings are indispensable. This applies to general mechanical engineering, the automotive industry, but above all to renewable energies. Bearings play
